Valentino Siesto Sun Grown – Toro

The Sun Grown Toro is the highest-scored cigar of the Valentino Siesto Premium Series in the specialist press, and the size most often used to describe what the brand does. Ecuadorian sun-grown wrapper, Dominican Olor binder, Dominican long filler, six inches at ring 52 — no gimmicks, just a lot of aged leaf.

It starts sweet and mineral at once, wood first, then earth and leather in the background. The middle third is the best part: creamier, with black pepper and hazelnut and a balsamic thread running through. Strength climbs gently and stops at medium, which is why it reads so clearly.
