Ring 60 over six inches, the Sun Grown Corona Gorda takes the house Habano blend and gives it volume. Wide cigars in a sun-grown wrapper can turn harsh; this one does not, largely because the Dominican filler has been aged long enough to take the heat of a big bunch without souring.
Dense, low, slightly sweet smoke throughout: bark and dark earth at the start, cocoa and roasted nuts once the coal settles, a dry leather finish. It burns slowly and evenly and asks for a full hour and a half. The natural partner to the Maduro Corona Gorda if you like the format and want to taste two wrappers side by side.
