Valentino Siesto Anniversary Doble Capa – Pico de Pato

Two things make the Anniversary Doble Capa Pico de Pato unusual. The first is the roll: doble capa means two wrapper leaves on one cigar, a technique the Tamboril factory keeps for its annual Anniversary release. The second is the head — pico de pato, duck’s bill, a flattened tapered cap that is a Valentino Siesto signature. Ring 54 over six inches, twenty-four to a box.

The double wrapper gives the smoke a weight the Premium Series does not have: dark fruit and cedar to start, then espresso, sweet spice and a mineral, almost flinty edge that keeps it from turning heavy. Aged leaf, released once a year, and gone when the boxes are gone.
