New World lancero cigars are long and thin — typically 7 x 38 — and take 50 to 70 minutes.
The lancero is a statement format. There is almost no filler to hide behind, so the wrapper leaf does most of the talking and the roll has to be flawless from end to end. Houses tend to reserve it for their best tobacco, and small production runs are the norm.
Look for the J Series Lancero and V Series Petit Lancero from Despot, the Aganorsa Leaf Anniversario Lancero and the Elegante from Aladino.
