New Worlds Brands
"New World" is the trade's shorthand for everything premium that is not Cuban: the Dominican Republic, Nicaragua and Honduras above all, plus the growers who supply them. These are not imitations of Havanas. Many are made by families who left Cuba after 1959 and rebuilt from seed, and the best of them now compete with Cuba on their own terms rather than trying to copy it.

The houses we carry
- Davidoff — Dominican precision: mild to medium, flawlessly constructed, the benchmark for consistency.
- Arturo Fuente — a Dominican family house, from the everyday Gran Reserva to the near-mythical OpusX.
- Plasencia — four generations of Nicaraguan growers; the first fully organic premium cigar.
- Perdomo — Nicaraguan, vertically integrated, and unusually good value at every strength.
- Camacho — Honduran Corojo, loud and unapologetic.
- Aladino — Honduran Corojo grown on the Eiroa estates, made the way Cuba used to.
- Despot — a small Nicaraguan house with long, thin formats and serious ageing.
- Aganorsa Leaf — the Nicaraguan grower that supplies half the industry, bottled under its own name.
- AVO — Dominican blends built around music, aged long and finished mild to medium.
- Zino — Davidoff’s Nicaraguan and Honduran sibling, bolder and less formal.
Where each country sits
- Dominican Republic — the smoothest of the three. Cibao Valley leaf gives cream, cedar and a long, quiet finish. Davidoff, Arturo Fuente and AVO all sit here.
- Nicaragua — volcanic soil and the strongest character. Pepper, cocoa and real power; Plasencia, Perdomo, Aganorsa and Despot work this ground.
- Honduras — the middle path. Jamastran Valley Corojo brings earth and leather without the Nicaraguan heat; Camacho and Aladino are the reference points.
