Davidoff Grand Cru No. 3 Cigar
Aladino Corojo Reserva No 4 Cigar
New World petit corona cigars run from about 111 to 134 mm with a 38 to 46 ring gauge — a slim, quick format that takes 30 to 40 minutes.
Because there is little filler behind the wrapper, this size rewards houses that put their best leaf on the outside. It is a format for the morning, for a coffee, or for judging a blend you are meeting for the first time without committing an evening to it.
Look for the Davidoff Signature 2000, Signature Petit Corona and Nicaragua Short Corona, the Arturo Fuente Gran Reserva Petit Corona and the smaller Aladino formats.
The Havana equivalent is the Marevas — see Cuban petit corona cigars. For a longer smoke at a similar ring gauge, try New World coronas, and if you prefer something mild, browse our light strength cigars.
